About Me
Joshila DeVile
I am a specialist physiotherapist with over 25 years of experience, focusing on cancer rehabilitation and lymphoedema management. I have worked across both the NHS and private practice, supporting people living with and beyond cancer to regain strength, confidence and quality of life.
My clinical approach is grounded in evidence-informed care, with a strong emphasis on translating research into practical, real-world interventions that patients can genuinely benefit from. While working with GenesisCare, I was closely involved in embedding research-informed exercise and rehabilitation approaches into routine clinical pathways, helping ensure that emerging evidence directly improved patient care.
I am particularly passionate about exercise as medicine in cancer care — not as a one-size-fits-all solution, but as a personalised, safe and meaningful part of treatment and recovery. I regularly present at conferences, deliver workshops and host webinars for healthcare professionals, charities and patient support groups.
Alongside my clinical work, I am Vice Chair and Learning & Development Officer for the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Oncology and Palliative Care (ACPOPC), and a committee member of the British Society of Integrative Oncology (BSIO).
Outside of work, I enjoy running, climbing mountains, and spending time with my husband, daughters and our dog.
